I was behind an 02 fez today and it had the 3 tier CD player but it was in black and looked nicer than the one I got. So why we got a rubbish silver one Is it just a 'single' disk player or something?

Iirc yes its only a single CD player in the Fiestas although when my 6006 went belly up, the replacement I got was a 3 tier black rubbery faced one which was a 6 CD player but form a Focus or a Mondeo or something?

They just look nicer, from a distance at least bet it still dont play mp3's tho I would trade my 6 cd changer for a darn mp3 one anyday. Hopefully will be getting a new head unit soon

Thats what I did when I got the dreaded CD ERR 3 on mine.. got the replacement, sold it on eBay which covered the cost of supply & fit of a Pioneer single DIN headunit. Bonus.
