So I have a few stone chips in the front of the bonnet, I emailed a local bodyshop for a quote. Bear in mind it's just the front section of the bonnet, probably the front 1/4 of it, sanded down, sprayed performance blue...

They want £300.

I could buy a new bonnet.

That's nothing try getting the roof done you're be looking at £300-400 at least!

To replace front bottom grill, number plate and spray bumper was £480!!!

Ah I can see this thread descending into tales of terrible repair prices

I got quoted £350 excluding VAT to get my exterior plastics painted black.

thats a lot of money for a re-spray!!

its a tad on the expensive side but not much , £250 is a decent price to get your bonnet done ,

even thought it just the first 1/4 that need done , the hole bonnet will prolly end up getting done as its quite hard to blend metalic paint , so they fade it in , and then laquar the hole bonnet


for £300 i would be expecting an exact colour match with no inperfections and if its throguth the books then you can always turn it down if your not happy with it!

£400 and they'll do the bonnet, front bumper, front wings and light correction work over the rest of the car to match the old & new paint. Gonna see if it can be done before Trax!
