can anyone help me with this??
it seems that when i pull the handle its not moving the hook to release the seat or its not connected at all. I cant see where to fic the problem!!!

Been a few timew here ive needed to bring the seats down but cant!!

is the car still in warranty? could get ford to have a look?

but im not too sure on what that could be, does the handle move freely? ie no resistance as if it was catching or pulling a cable?

yeah it moves freely, no resistance at all. flaps about.

must be the catch is either broken or disconnected from the parts inside.....

off the top of my head i cant remember if there is a way to get into the seat.

you may be able to pull off the plastic surround on it.

there will be a way to get into it.

best to try strip it down a little bit to get a better view of it.

lol, ye thats true.

there must be an easy way to get into it, i reckon the surround will come off exposing maybe screws of some sort.

dont rely on this, im just taking a stab in the dark as never had to take seat apart......yet.

its ok i will invoice you the repair bill if i mess it up!

i've just repaired mine for the same fault, if you remove the handle surround you can then use a small screwdriver to pull the handle out, once the handles out you'll see a rod if you pull the rod the seat should fold down. to repalce the catch assembly i found it best to remove the seat 4 torx bolts on the back, once removed the cover just unhooks from the frame theres 2 bolts holding the catch on remove them and fit new catch.

If i remember a new catch is around £40 and it only takes about 20mins to fit
