Hi all,

Just wondering does anyone know if its possible to set the car so that it automatically locks its self when you come to a stop, im sure its a feature ive seen in various other cars?

not that i know of, i know it can be set so when you unlock it only the driver door unlocks.

you may just have to lock the doors before you set off.

Yeah I wish it auto locked as you set off like most modern cars but it's no hassle to just push the drivers handle in next to you and it will lock both as you set off so meh...

Ha never heard of that! My bro and parents Merc's do it as they pull away...

I know......as you stop mate, Push the lock in, then when you set off pull it out again! JOB DONE!

The summary of that thread is that it can't be done on pre-facelifts at all. On facelifts, you can have it re-programmmed to do this, if your dealership allows this, but it has to be done right or it may cause problems with other things.

an aftermarket alarm with the function such as a Clifford is an option but you need to make sure the fitter installs the speed monitor bit as mine did not so you could only select lock on power up not lock on speed

ive got auto locking

if you unlock your car, and wait 60seconds, it locks it again!!! only auto-lock feature my pre-facelift comes with lol
