Hi guys ,i have a whinning noise from auxillary belt which rotates the crank,AC,Power steering pump etc ,anyway i used stephoscopes to try to eliminate the noise i myself and 3 other garages said it was alternator ,well i fitted a new 1 and its still there i think the noise is travelling throught the belt could this be the tensioner roller bearing ? what are the common failures on this FIESTA TDCI 1.4 WITH AC 2005 YEAR any help thanks mik

Could be the tensioner as mine was replaced at 12000 miles for being noisy.

You should always change the belt first as they can go shiney and squeak. And they're cheaper LOL.
