I took my car into a ford dealership a bit ago and they told me they thought the car had been remapped but they werent too sure.

Is there anyway to tell? The only reason im asking now is that I am thinking of buying a remap for the car but dont want to waste £200!

Why did you take it to a Ford dealership? what probs? also, have you got an induction kit fitted or standard?

If you need to know, take it for a 'Rolling Road' for about £50 max, and see what BHP it is running at.

If it's more than 165bhp, they should be able to tell you if it's been re-mapped.

A £50 test is better than £200 waisted IMO, and you'll know more about your at the end of the day.

Fair enough, they told me that they were unsure - so it makes it a little confusing - and thats when I took it in for servicing and new rear discs.

I moved to the Fiesta from VAG - and I know its impossible to find out with the VAG cars if it was mapped unless you rr'd it so I (wrongly) assumed that would be the same here.

Will get it RR'd or will ask Ford to find out next time its garaged. does the forum do any RR days?
