Hi all,

Myself Patrick and Ryder are planning a trip to Scotland to carve up some mountains! Were not 100% sure on the dates yet, but we would like to go around the End of Jan/start of Feb. Prices I have done some digging and managed to get quite a good deal on some resorts, rough prices are as follows:

Lift Pass - £50 for 3 days
Hotel - £15 per person per night
If you require equipment - £15 per day

We would ideally like to go for 2-3 nights, but if your local why not come and join us for the day? Not a Snowboarder or Skier? The resort offers an amazing array of cool activities such as huge hill sledging and the immensely fun Snow Tubing. A link to Ski Scotland is here - http://ski.visitscotland.com/centres/

We have been looking at either Nevis Range or Glencoe. Below is the piste map for Nevis Range, those of you who are keen boarders might think it is not very challenging....I asure you it is, and again this will be a good get together and we can have some "apres ski" activities such as night skiing and night Snow Tubing! Let me know if your interested.

Stu

That sounds like a good trip Stu. As someone who's been to Fort William a million times, I have to say that the Snow especially on Aonach Mor on the Nevis Range (where the Cable Cars go) can be very variable and I've seen many people go up and are disappointed when the Health and Safety bods say that there's not enough snow or too much snow etc..

So be aware....

Yeah snow reports look good, I've been up there before so know the limits! By the time we go should be fine, not decided which range to go to yet.

Sledging AND Snow Tubing! Snow Tubing is immense, huge rubber ring and you get thrown down a large hill lol If you wish to learn to Ski/Board lessons are £15 for 3 hours.

I've got to cure my fear of heights somehow. I shall speak to Scotty and see what we can do.

Pink what would you like to know? Seriously you do not need ANY prior knowledge of skiing to go on this holiday, you will have to pay for instruction which I think is £15 per day, but the lessons are quality and you will be shooting down the piste in no time, its great fun even learning so get involved! Snow Tubing I am looking forward to more than snowboarding lol

Just to update all on the snow Conditions, at present the " Cairngorms " resort which is one of the resorts I was looking at going has upto 3-4 feet of Powder Snow on the ground, which is better than Europe at this present moment! Bring it on!!!!!
