Well just discovered that hitting a pot hole in the middle of a corner means a very scratched ST is the result.( pics to follow )
Won't be claiming as most of the scratches are from the car being in contact with thorn bushes at side of Road and will buff out, front wheel a bit scuffed, but other than that car seems OK.
Going to get tracking checked but car handling OK.
Thought I had hit black ice at first but drove back through and there is a 6 inch deep pot hole right on the apex of the bend, was thinking of claiming against local Council but can't see me getting much joy out of them.
What I can't buff out chipsaway will be sorting out as it will be cheaper than paying the excess on my insurance.......Happy Days.

Pot holes, the bane of all drivers

On my acces road to my flat a section of the road has 'sunk' a section of about 3 foot by 6 foot. First time I went over it it felt like I had driven over a kerb, now I swerve around it. Been like it for 2 weeks now

We can all so something to improve the situation and simply take a few mins to report them, if the councils don't know about them in the first place then we can't expect things to improve.
As a cyclist I can suffer a lot of expensive damage to my bike and even come down and be injured.
One of the campaigning bodies CTC encourages us to report them here and then they get passed on to the council.
Once reported any subsequent incident is more likely to result in a payout quickly if they haven't taken action given already reported.
The more we report the more the roads will improve.
Hope your car is ok Kingy

Reported the potholes near my house to the council a couple of weeks ago, the road has cost me 2 sets of front mudflaps on the RS, they rang me twice and have agreed the road needs re laying properly, going to start work on the road in the summer, result.
