Afternoon chaps, just recently went into my local odd sods car shop ( its like an aladdins cave in that place! ) and noticed theyve started to sell a range of Savage backboxes.

Anyone had experience with one of these before? They seem fairly good, full stainless steel but of course no brackets or fixing due to them being universal fit.

Now to my untrained eye they look like just the sort of boxes that powerflow or similar companies would use for custom made exhaust jobbies so i cant see them being of substandard material.

Recently enquired ( at a powerflow dealer/manufacturer ) about the price for a custom backbox fitting and they quoted me 150+vat so its likely i could get the savage + fitting for a bit cheaper than that but wont bother if theyre sh*te.

Any advice or recommendation to steer well clear etc?

Adam, i have had no experience with savage exhausts so cannot help out in this area sorry.

Regarding powerflow exhausts, i have one, are fantastic I would say definatly worth it. I reckon the savage would be quite loud, like a typical 1L Corsa with big bore exhaust sound, as a few guys i have seen with their corsas fitted with a similar exhaust. At least with powerflow you can specifiy what sort of sound your after and could make it to your personal spec. Also if you go for a powerflow, at least get the flexi pipe change, or a cat back like mine, fantastic difference and sound, lots of pops and bangs Fitted was £270 FYI.
