Hi

I wonder if anyone can help me. I have a 2010 Ford Fiesta Zetec and am having problems with the bluetooth. My phone is a LG KC780 and I can't make outgoing calls. I can receive calls but when I access the phone book on my phone (via bluetooth) I dail the number and it shows, but doesn't dial. Also If I do it by voice activation I am told that there is no network and the action is cancelled. I have tried to set up a phone book on the bluetooth but again it doesn't work. I have followed the directions in the book and it is no help.

So help please as I am tearing my hair out. It may be my phone but surely I shouldn't be able to receive calls. Any ideas please

Have you checked the settings on your phone? Make sure it enables the car to be used, should find it under your bluetooth settings page.

Thanks for your reply. Yes I have set the car as authorised so that the phone doesn't ask for permissions when I turn the ignition on.

Yes, but are the phones bluetooth settings set correctly ie allow complete control over the phone via car audio?

The phone bluetooth settings are My Visibility is on: My name shows my name: my bluetooth address is 00:21:FB:05:67:F8 and my primary storage is the phone although it can be stored on the external memory

As far as anything else goes I have to admit that I am out of my depth. I have searched the internet for the LG KC780 user manual but it is difficult to access.

I think I may need to go back to Polar Ford to see if they can help me out. I'm really frustrated with it now.

Hmmmm, yeah get it into Ford they will sort it for you and if there is a problem I'm sure they will be able to tell you what it is! No probs if you ever have any more issues just post up on the site and there are many people on here who are happy to help!

the way it is it looks like more of a settings problem but since it looks like dialing on the car kit and not on the phone i would side to think it's car settings which is the problem (transmittion). Are you sure there is no mismatch maybe on the phone model??

Are you getting problems when you are not connected to the car?

The Ford bluetooth system is a Nokia system so really only works best with Nokias.

Your phone may not be fully compatible with the system.

My wife used to have no end of problems with her Samsung in her Focus.

Thank you all for your help. I bought my phone for the camera more than the actual phone and I have to admit that I have had no end of problems with it being recognised. I have no problems using it as a phone outside the car.

It helps to know that the Bluetooth is Nokia because in September (end of contract) I will be looking for a compatible phone.
