Damn it!!

Having a pretty rotten day so far. This morning I found my car dinged up in the car park.

Someone trying to squeeze, what must have been an SUV or 4x4, into a space not big enough for a Twingo next to my car. And they managed to ding up the rear fender on the right side. Pretty bad too. Two dents and alot of scratching. And this on the biggest damn panel on the car!

Getting it repaired through the insurance, but all sorts of bad shit has been happening today.

And it looks like the car will stay like this for 2 weeks.

Meanwhile I hope whoever did this gets some horrible genital infection.

Sorry to hear that sulkd, it is frustrating to come back and find this damage but sometimes its unavoidable without parking in the furthest corner of the car park! As a general rule I do try and avoid parking next to MPVs and 4x4s as they're normally bound to be carrying kids who will take no care when opening the doors... I hope you can get it sorted out without too much fuss though.

That's exactly why I park at the furthest point away from where everyone else wants to be in any car park. I have to walk an extra 10 minutes to get into work because of where I park but at least I know it'll be in the same condition when I return.

Sorry to hear about this mate!

I found the perfect spot to park my car now.

There is a tight space next to the ramps that lead to the next level on every floor of the car park. It's a bit dangerous since it's trapezoid shaped and I have to park by backing into it with my passenger side directly up against the wall so I can open the driver's side door without risk.

But I think this extra effort in reversing is worth it. Since it's a single space which means I don't get any more dings from other drivers.

I always park on the edge of my work car park.

I had someone see my car once and take a photo of my parking... unfortunatley the posts been deleted so i cannot link the picture. It was funny though

If i go in at busy times i've sat in my car for 45mins and been late for work until I get the space I want... I think of it this way... If i park it anywhere, work a week... earn £200 and then get a big dent... thats a weeks wages gone for the sake of waiting and losing a £1.

I've been doing 6am starts so dont have this problem, and its my last day friday so W00000000000000000000000T!!!

I shall NOT be taking my car down with me to portsmouth, it needs its 37500 mile service, new tyres, new brakes etc so am leaving it at home nice and safe to get the jobs done. It will make its come back for our X-mas meet though

Seriously though guys and girls, if you can park somewhere on an edge or not take your car atall, maybe even a lift share to cut the chances a little would really help the situation.

Take Care!!!
