I've been in a dilemma over the past week as to whether I invest in Mintex or Ferodo brake pads!

Which pads would you purchase as I've had mixed views from various suppliers?

Also, would you just replace the front pads as some say the rear pads won't make much difference?!?

Ferodo pads are pretty much standard anyway as I've had a few cars that come with Ferodo pads from the factory. They've always worked fine for me.

No experience with Mintex I'm afraid.

I upgraded to Ferodo Premier all round, way better than OEM pads.

A lot of people say Ferodo DS2500's are supposed to be better than Mintex!

Can anyone clarify this fact?

I've had both, although the Ferodo 2500's are with my AP's, so not a very equal comparison. The Mintex ones were very squeaky though, so I would go for the Ferodo's over the Mintex just because of that.

Well I've decided ladys and gents...

the winner is Mountune! I'm having this front brake package fitted at the end of next week... http://www.mountunestore.com/Product/Front-brake-upgrade-package

Thank you all for your opinion.

let us know Mounty as I fancy that kit from MT too.

Just to throw another spanner into the mix, as we know our brakes just don't work when soaking wet from the off, you should use them and clear the water and warm them up for first few miles as you drive. My question is, why, I'm thiking the Ford pads soak up water, thus those of you who have changed pads, have you noticed any difference when driving off from cold when car has been left in the rain, usually overnight ?

Very good mate, i use to have the redstuff pads but did a track day at rockingham and i went out for two 20-25 min stints and fryed the pads, i had to drive home with hardley no brakes!! altho ebc gave me the yellowstuff pads as straight swap for the redstuff after they tested them and found them to be knackered.
