The getrag six speed box is quite simply awful and is one of the complaints that many ST170 owners have, it's heavy and clunky to use and the gearbox wouldn't fit anyway. Stick with the standard IB5 as it's perfect for your car, forget cruising in your Fiesta as it was meant for back road blasts!

I have taken it easy this week just to see how much it affects mpg, and to be honest it has probably got worse it anything. Not to mention the fact that it has bored me to tears.
