Does anyone know the name and address of the f**ker who designed this process? You'd think it would be possible to think up a way of that didn't involve removing half the car's front end to change a bulb which cost about a fiver.

Yep. I managed to change the passenger side bulb a few months ago by just sticking my hand in and not even reading the manual. But upon lifting the bonnet the other day realised the drivers side is locked up like Fort Knox. A quick handbook consultation confirmed, yes indeed you need to remove the front grille and light assembly before you can change the bulb.

Noooo you don't, take the reservoir out that is behind the light, just undo one bolt/nut and lift it out and then you can get to it, did a mates side ones and mains like this

+1 or take the headlight unit off Dunno about the facelift, but mine I have to take it off to change the side lights anyway

The passenger side one can be done without taking the pod out but the drivers side you certainly do have to and yes there are many mk6 Fiesta owners who would like to throttle that designer

There are little plastic guides at the side of the headlamp assys and I remember breaking each one on each side when I changed the bulbs in my fez!!

I always wonder what you are supposed to do in a roadside emergency, carry half of snap-on around with you just in case?
