Hi Moe, welcome the forum. Scary avatar btw lol.

Hi there and welcome to the forum moe

Theres a lot of conflicting information going about with regard to the colured dash at the moment, you PROBABLY will be able to get one in black, but we'll have to wait until some come on the streets before we know this for certain.

With regard to the headlamps, I know that when the facelift was first announced it was said that they would be interchangable and would fit in pre-facelift models, so no reason why they can't work the other way round, and you can change them for the older lights.

Hi Moe, welcome to the forum.

I'm in a position to order a now, but am REALLY concerned about the dash. The 3 separate dealers I've been to know nothing. We'll have to wait until the facelift model is actually released so the dealers have full specs & options.
AFAIK the lights are interchangable, but yet to be confirmed.
I will be seeing the dealer as soon as the facelift is released, I'll keep you (and anyone else who's interested) posted.

Gareth

Hi & welcome.
the truth is despite people slagging off the facelift model (Me included) the options for dash etc have not been properly released & even the Dealers are unsure what you can or cannot specify.
You probably don't care about trade in values, but the facelift model wiil undoubtably be higher, after a while when the "new" Fiesta is established anyone after a Fiesta will only want the Facelift.
So eventhough you may not like it now because you have seen the current model, just wait & give it a chance!!

I absolutely agree blue, I wasn't going to get an at all when I first saw the new dash colour, now I'm waiting to see what they're like in real life so I can chose the best colour (blue or red). The plus side of the facelift is the EATC (climate control), power folding mirrors. I'm also hoping the sat nav will be out of the new Focus as I've heard that's very good.
However I am waiting for my dealer to confirm pretty much every question I asked.

Hi Moe, welcome to the club!

Your situation's a bit of a difficult one really, as the new interior is a bit of a Marmite kind of thing at the moment. I tink that although the dash in the new car might not be as aesthetically pleasing, the specs of of it do seem quite good with stuff like the climate control and trip computer as well as the new radio, there's times when I do think the current ST lacks a couple of toys...

There isn't much official news out yet about the choice of colours for the dash so nobody knows for sure whether you can opt for a black one instead. The lights should be a straight fit so if you want to put the old ones on it shouldn't be hard, you'll easily find parts from people who have since replaced for Morette's or Lex-arse or whatever. If you still can't stand the new one though, then I'd second ChrisSussex's advice about buying a low mileage second-hand one, there's plenty about now both at dealers and private, some for a less than £10k. You could save yourself a good packet of cash which you can then put towards engine mods!

Hi!

Have you asked your dealer what he can do for you? in some cases, even though the new model is due to come out they can always try and locate you a pre-facelift model from other dealer locations. Thats what they did with mine, I wanted the pre-faclift in Performace Blue, and they found me one all the way in near Yorkshire! (From my dealer in Harlow about 200 miles away!).
