Hi Guys,

Having fitted my Eibachs a week ago I have had the tracking checked today and the fronts needed to be adjusted. However, they also brought to my attention that the rear wheels are quite badly cambered in, especially on the passenger side. I am a little concerned about this because the rear passenger wheel was the one which i tried to fit the spacer to and decided to leave it in the end bolting it all back up. I really hope that I havent broken something! Does anybody have any suggestions on what I should do?

Cheers,

Chris

As long as you did everything up ok, and the way it was it should be fine, you cant adjust the rear unless something is bent under there.
Who checked things for you ie tracking.

Cheers for the fast reply! Been to two places today one place with a good rep, they said that things cannot be adjusted due to it being a beam which i can understand.

I just dont get why one side has more camber than the other. I'm am sure everything was bolted up to the correct torque. So if things cannot be adjusted then what options do I have? :s

Tez is right there is no adjustment, the wheels will naturally camber in a bit but shouldn't be too far, the only thing that would make it camber badly in is a bent axle and i doubt you have bent that!

if he is telling you they are badly cambered in has he just looked at the tread on your tires? if they have been on the front they will wear badly on the rears

Cheers for the info Dan,

The tyres on the rear have always been on the car and only one of the rear tyres is wearing badly (the one with the camber). When it had its service 3 weeks ago the rears had 5mm all the way across, now the pass rear has only 3mm on the inside edge. However, I can physically see that the wheel on passenger side is tilted in much more!

Maybe the axel has always been out but lowering it has emphisised it?

Are you the second owner, if so the other owner may have hit a kerb or something and bent it, get it checked out or it will wear the tyre.

Not if something has been bent through accident damage.
