i know where its coming from but why would it start doing it.

i think its the belt under the power steering tank has something come loose etc etc or am i wrong also its quieter when the engine is hot

That's your belt like mine which is squeaking where mine is connected to my supercharger. You may need a new one bud as it could be wearing thin and snap

It will be the auxillary belt tensioner, mine had a new one fitted under warrenty along with a new belt, the belt itself should last around about 100,000 miles if its anything like the 1.4 engines.

Yeah my Aux belt started making scratching sounds and when I lifted the bonnet it had worn down something crazy and was all frayed
