Anyone know where I can get any decent looking wing mirrors with side repeaters on? Or if its easy to swap 'em over for the focus ones?

Cheers

Here you go..I cant be arsed to link all the images so you will have to cut and paste

Fitting focus st indicators to a facelift mirror AND fitting facelift mirrors to a pre facelift

Required items:
Soldering iron
Lengths of wire
Torx drivers
Dremel or similar

the first step is to remove the mirror if you haven’t already done so, unclip the plastic surround on the inside of the door and unscrew the mirror

next you need to remove the mirror glass
easiest method is to press the glass into the bottom inside corner of the mirror creating a gap at the top outer edge.

Unclip the glass using a screw driver, 4 clips in total but the first clip will unhook them all, be patient, you don’t wanna smash the glass

Clip shown in the red circle:

Once this is done you need to unplug the mirror shown in the pic

Once the glass is off you need to remove the screws shown by the red circles

Then unclip the motor assembly from the housing and disconnect the wiring

Now you can remove the inside of the mirror innards by simply pulling and twisting, note the clip in the red circles

Once this is done you need to remove the mirror from the base plate, this is held on with 3 screws shown in the pics

To remove the 3rd screw you need to fold the mirror back on itself (towards the front of the car)

Once that is done they simply pull apart as shown

Now you can feed the wires in for the indicators, ensure you have cut the wires to a suitable length

Tape the wires to the plug to stop them falling back inside the mirror

Next step is to cut out the indicator slot (remove the mirror backing if you already haven’t)

You will cut out one of the screw mounts and be very close to another

Next you need to shave the indicator bulb holder in order to fit around the screw mount

You will also need to shave one of the screw holes and cut another off

Re-assemble the mirror and wire in the indicator, the indicator housing will clip into place and although it doesn’t sit very flush the mirror cap will keep it in place

It’s down to you if you want to buy the caps for the focus or cut your own to fit.

Job done

If you have a pre-facelift car then obviously you’ll have noticed the connectors on the mirror are different to that on the car, whatever method you choose whether it be chock block or connectors from another mirror this table will tell you what wire connects to what wire, it won’t however tell you how to screw a screw in to chock block or how to solder wires.

Note that this is done by pin no which is marked on the cars wiring connector as the passenger side is all black wires, please don’t cut the connector off in one go and wonder why when you put the heated windows on your mirror moves.

If you're removing the mirror head to do it can't you just fit a focus mirror head with indicators onto a Fiesta mirror base?
