stokest Registered: 28/01/10 Posts: 129	my engine warning light as come on when i started car up and it said on dash do not run and engine was juddering i think it was in limp mode, this as happened about 4-5 times now but when it goes to ford they find no problems and its not registering on the cars computer (brain) any 1 no whats up

Kaxe Registered: 01/07/08 Posts: 8157	Fit a 60mm throttle body! I had an engine light problem that drove me nuts for 6 months and NO garage could help me. I bought a 60mm throttle body and fitted myself with no mechanic help and my engine light went off straight away. More air flow to the engine = made the car breathe better! THAT or you could just clean your standard throttle body but that's boring lol!

Bradders Registered: 26/04/07 Posts: 1148	Erm, i had this problem once but after a few hours of driving the engine light disappeared then never came back! I am no technical expert but have you had the ECU Update from Ford yet as maybe that may solve the problem?

It could have an '06 ecu fitted, which was a problem. They need to remove the ecu,(because the part number is on the back), and the part number is what is important. Only this will tell them if it needs an upgrade or flashing. NOT when the car was registered. _________________________
