Hi,

I'm new to this as only owned my ST for a month. The ST is a 2008 and was registered on 29th April. So is still under warranty.
I was just wondering if any one could help me:
I seem to have a problem when going round a local roundabout at about 40 mph
I get a knocking from what I believe sounds like the front left suspension.
I have checked the drop links, bushes and ball joints all seems ok, I have also jacked the wheel up and pushed and pulled on it to see if there is any play (which there isn’t)It only happens when front left is under heavy loading.
One thing I haven’t checked is the strut top mount could it be this?
Can any one help, please?

In a word... yes. I had a knock under turning and the top mount was history. Tehy're not too much from Ford, part number 1469224 & cost about £25-£30

Is there easy way to tell? I have jacked the car up and tried to move the wheel to get it to do it again but no luck.
Also it’s only covered 13k now so surely top mount shouldn’t have gone and if it has is it covered in warranty?
