So my next little indulgence shall be a flexi pipe and lowering springs. I'm going Mongoose and Eibach here.

I haven't the foggiest how to fit either of them so need some advice on if it's feasible to do myself/with some help or if I should get a garage to do them, where I can get them fitted and how much it might cost.

People, I demand your help

the flexi is only 4 bolts but can be hard to get to and also the bolts could be hard to undo.

the springs are pretty easy too i did my own and have now done 2 fiesta ST's a focus ST and a seat leon

Want to come fit them for me then?

I do have a friend who might be able to help, but otherwise it will be going to a garage.

A garage shouldn't charge more than £100 to do both jobs, fairly easy for a competant mechanic.

If you change the flexi yourself then i recommend you buy some spare manifold bolts as i sheared mine off, there just hammer out with a driftrom underneath!

Piece of piss to change apart from that.

Thanks for that. Will have a read through it

Has anyone fitted these with an aftermarket exhaust? I take it there isn't any issue with clearance, as it's only being lowered 30/35mm?

I wouldn't worry mate, my springs are 45mm and others with then have no problem with aftermarket exhuasts. I think some people on coilovers are even lower You should be ok

These are what I will get and actually the cheapest I have been able to find.

With a bit of luck, should be just over £300, including getting them fitted ( I hope )

The flexi is the first part of the exhaust just behind the manifold. It's not for looks because you cant see it unless you are under the car lol. It adds power to the st by helping it to breath better.
