yer plate included, and really low miles, price is high at 12 n half. usually around 10-11 i think but then again for a 53 plate they usually have about 60k miles etc

hmmmm

My mate has had his up for over 3 weeks without 1 single bit of interest so they aren't moving very fast
Nice low mileage with all the 'phase 2' stuff I presume as its a 53
Always check discs etc as they are quite expensive, everything is more expensive on the RS to buy as Scott will tell you

But if you get one I'm sure you will fall in love with it, something special about them
(Just don't change the exterior )

Looks nice mate. If you have the spare cash, go for it
I hope in a few years time I can find a mk2 for that price and condition

Been thinking about it...if you plan to put loads of miles on it then there is no point buying a low mileage car? As it will ruin the value of it

I like Mk1's but the interior is gross

Colour's alright... I wish it was made a bit later in time so the body kit was a bit meaner but oh well...

yer i was thinking it could possibly be a future classic, keep it in garage and occasionally drive to save that low mileage and just get a cheap run around fiesta to save on the bills etc. gota convince the MRS tho lol...... would be nice to have one!!

As others have mentioned. It's not just the initial payment that had to be maintained on these. Your taking 5-10x the cost when replacing parts on it over a normal ford focus. Also other things to consider

For example:

Insurance: Group 16A. If your young then you'll be paying a good sum in 4 figures
Tax: Band G means over £215 per year
Security: You'll need a damn safe place to park it, maybe security camera, safe post in the drive, tracker etc would be required.
Petrol: At between 17-30mpg with only 97+ allowed to be used you'll be lucky to get too much further than 260miles to £60 which I filled mine up with 2 days ago.
Brakes: £600 for the fronts alone
Tyres: £110 a pop for good ones

Mines having to have a new Alloy (£250) and bearing (£140) replaced due to a pot hole from the last owner. With my normal focus i'd have been able to get an alloy for next to nothing and a bearing would have set me back £30.

If you think it's cheap or you'll be able to use it as a normal car then think again as it's expensive and attracts a LOT of unwanted attention.

I hope this doesn't put you off... but sometimes it's good to know what you are really in for.

- - - - -

That car looks like a nice example but christ knows why he's done all those mods... i'd rip them all off straight away... especially the dump valve as that is a killer for the

If you want any more help then post up

Scotty

Thanks for all the info Scott,

I knew the cost would be a killer plus maintaining it etc and also had a rough idea of the sort of costs involved. but its good to know from an owner anyway.

Ive already had a look at insurance and those sort of costs and to be honest prices wernt to bad and not a great deal different to my ST, still a four figure sum of dosh but only just, got quotes just over a grand.

ive already got an empty garage to keep it in which is esential!!!! and my garage is at the right at the back, in front of that there is another 2 cars in a car port with another garage door in front of that with another 2 cars parked in front of that lol so someone would need to nick 5 cars to get to it lol.

at the moment im only considering one, but not as an everyday car, it will be used along side my ST or a cheaper run around focus/fiesta (havent made any decisions yet) so i wont be putting much mileage on at all (hence looking at a low mileage one)

in your opinion scott would you go for one with out all of those engine mods and stick to basics. go for a standard one??
