So, as requested here is the extra "sticky" Topic

I guess I need to ask this question here now:

Do my grill surrounds need spraying gloss black or can I get away with it with that splitter, in flesh it looks good, i just think the gloss black looks a bit naff sometimes

give it some time maybe the colour will adapt this is just like adding new spray to some parts. i think the splitter gives it the final touch on the front. very good mate.

I bought it from a another owner on the "other" forum. So he did all the hard work. Basically remove the stone guard from under the front bumper. Offer this up to the rs splitter to mark out where it needs cutting down. It's made from fibre glass and then carbon wrapped so cut it down and file away! All you need is 6 self tapping screw from the under side of the splitter onto the stone guard. Offer the whole assembly back up onto the bumper and slide the stone guard into the slots as per before. Slide the clips back over and then your done.

The only thing I would watch out for is removing the 6 staple type clips on the stone guard, get a screw driver underneath then and just flick them off. The stone guard comes in 2 sections aswell so just remember to align those in place on the splitter or else u kay have a bit of trouble re aligning it all when coming to fit it.

I bought mine from someone else and have just realised how much of a bargain it was! They are produced by Marcus from Creative Carbon

http://www.creativecarbon.com/

but there are two types, Fully Carbon Fibre & Fibre Glass with a Carbon Wrap.
They dont seem to be on the website but so you will have to contact them directly, maybe ask if they use their Focus RS template and adapt it to suit a Fiesta ST

Hey harper, I was just looking on the one stop post at your car and I reckon that if you got some white rim tape and put it on the top grill à la Golf GTi and it'll tie in great with your front grills

Why don't you swap with a white fiesta that has blue stripes? One of the guys did it here in SA. It looks good.

Hey guys, I phoned the guy with the black Fezz, he says he used a 6mm pin stripe tape. It goes for about R25 for 6m here, which is about 2 pounds I think.

OH and also, im thinking about getting my roof, spoiler and wing mirrors sprayed black. would it be cheaper and a better idea to just get them wrapped? i am in this for the long run, so i wouldnt wanna wrap it and in a few years the quality to get poor?

i realise someones already touched on this...but i really wanna lose my bloody n00b status

You get different type of vinyl, I'm sure that 10 year vinyl will be more than good enough. Only thing maybe the chipping on the front of the bonnet. But I would rather vinyl than spray. Up to you in the end.

Oh, and I think you need 50 posts to get a different status!

I'd wrap them coz I've got the same idea and when you go to sell it (in many years hopefully ) some ppl might be put off by a black spoiler so you or they can just take the vinyl off

Cheers lad. If the person im selling it to doesnt like what ive done to it then maybe i wont sell it to them!

Also, can you put stripes on a vinyl wrap? Like vinyls on top of vinyls, just curious...

Richbrook Short Aerial, fitted straight on, no need to use the supplied optional screws or spacers, reception is not quite as good on some channells and no change on others, guess it depends on how far and where you drive, I never use radio so I'm happy with the much better look and I can reach it to clean !
Mi pic is in the other adjoining sticky Topic.

just had my Goodridge Stainless brake lines fitted and 5.1 fluid, fronts an rears. Only drove about 3 miles so far back from garage but a definite mod worth having. Straight away there was less travel on the pedal and less needed to slow the car.
Very happy with this mod.
