Sometimes when I start the car up it will want to stall straight away unless I put a little throttle on too keep it going, apart from that it runs sweet as a nut no rough idling or anything
I just cant understand! I had the manifold lambda sensor changed as well as plugs and leads, because of a previous fault and now this has just flaired up.
Just wondering if anyone has had similar problems or heard of any related issues

Could it be the idle air control valve or MAF sensor?

Like is said this problem comes and goes ime confused.com

cheers.

Mine does it, needs an update from Ford
Think they charge £90
TBH I just live with it, so do quite a few others

Thing is I have the dreamscience DSF3000, now if I return the car to stock then take it to ford for the update, will the update just be a bit pointless if I put the dreamscience tune back on?.

I mean will my flashtuner wipe the new update off the ecu!!.

You haven't changed your fuel lately or are using crappy supermarket stuff?

Thing is, as you said, if you get the ECU flashed by Ford it will remove your dreamscience map. Then when you put the dreamscience map back on you will wipe out the improvements the ECU update has made.

Perhaps your throttle body may need cleaning, the air bypass tube (for idling) may be getting blocked up.

Are you sure the plug gaps were correct before you fitted them?
