I was wondering what peoples thoughts were on colour coding certain trim parts on Ford Fiestas.

At the moment, these are the pieces of trim i would like to have colour coded in gloss black:

- Wingmirrors + Wingmirror Mounts / Plates

- Door trim that runs along the middle of the doors

- Piece of trim above the rear numberplate

I anyone had a rough guide on what this would set me back to have done professionally and whether it is actually worth it, that would be great.

Thanks

Hi,

I used to have a plain mk6 zetec and got the boot strip, door strips, door handles and wing mirror covers and a spolier sprayed and fitted for £350. At first it looked great but they did not age very well and the door strips started to peel!

personally I prefer a car to look as standard as possible however I do tire of having to use different cleaning products, so choose carefully and get them done properly, my fog surrounds and rear reflectors were done by Ford paintshop and wasn't cheap but have a factory finish.

If you don't mind me asking Steve, what did the Ford Paintshop charge?

Goodyear- jammy or what!! getting it done for free!

Chris - I think i might leave it then if the paint may peel off in time and what Ford will charge probably will make it not worth doing.
