Where do you gents go for an online vin check.

i dont believe you can check online for a VIN. that's unique for every car. Vehicle Identification Number. You get that from your car. correct me if im wrong?

The Vin number is a group of numbers that can be broken down, But basically its Model, engine size, year, paintcode, & build number. Used to be one avalable online but cant seem to find it!

Why is it telling me invalid, almost all online vin search sites has been giving me back this results.

Cost me a tenner but you get full hpi, VIN number verification, mileage checks etc etc- well worth it for peace of mind!

The seller gave me a receipt and when i typed in the VIN number it came up as being different to the one they had on file- but this was because i misread one of the digits.

Remember that they never use O or I, they use 1 and 0 (zero) instead so make sure you haven't put an 'I' instead of a 'one' or an 'O' instead of a 'zero'

Also make sure you dont put 'S' instead of 5 or vice versa (as i did!)
