No not WD 40 dont use that
Look in halfords or the like Its a Nylon or Rubber lubricant Get a tin its aerosol and has loads of uses round the house too.
I use it in the
Streetka Roof seals about every 8 weeks its good for all the door seals too and round the rubber boot seal. Just use it very very lightly a little goes a very long way. Just use the thin tube like the WD one down the window runners do a bit at a time if it squeaks or sticks you can add more. I 1st started using on the 2.9 4x4
Sierra It had global window closing with pressure sensors. In the hot weather the windows were fooled into thinking I had my hand trapped in the frame and would stop, the lube made them glide freely up and down. It keeps the rubber and nylon like new stops it getting brittle or stiff. I use it on our shower curtain runners and the House PVCu window and door seals too. Its not like oil like WD or 3 in one and cleans off the glass where you get over spray quite easy.
