Hi all

My ST is due its second service now, its an 08 plate.

Do i HAVE to go to ford for a service, or can i go to any garage as long as they use ford parts??

Thanks

any garage i do believe with genuine parts. but if i had a car that was still under warranty, id pay the extra for the fraud service as it helps with selling. also isnt there something about the paint warranty from them

I would take it to a Ford specialist! You can take it anywhere aslong as they use genuine parts.

A ford specialist will look just as good when selling the car, but tbh, its a ford not a BMW! I wouldnt worry too much.

Ford are trying to charge me £189 whilst my housemate works at a Renault specialist garage and he can do it as a favour for me at £90. See my issue!?!

Anyone can change the oil etc.

It's the Stamp on your service book that counts for continued warantee unfortunately.

Get the service done at your mates place and then take it to ford for your paintwork warranty check.
As long as you have receipts for the work done your warranty will be fine, my first service was at a vauxhall dealers and then took it to ford for the paintwork check. Its just had its 3rd year service and i spoke to my warranty guy as the car has only done 900 miles since the last service due to having 3 cars, the car only has about 12,900 miles on the clock, he said it only needed an oil change and paintwork check, i supplied the parts cos i got them trade and ford did it for £25 inc paintwork check, nice one.
