2nd time in the space of around 6 months my spoiler has been stolen yet again. I'm absolutley sick of these a-holes who think its ok to steel from my car. I can't afford to go through the insurance again so it looks like its staying off. Of course the Police handed yet another number - i'm sure the chavs are very afriad of this. The Police wouldn't come out unless I had CCTV footage or a tool. I was told that the local Police station would call me but it seems they can't be bothered to...

I've bent the corners of the tailgate back up and noticed the last theft had caused the tailgate to rust. The screw hole on the drivers side is now wrecked completely because they pulled the screw right through the hole this time.

The spoiler they stole should have been marked so hopefully if the scrotes are caught with it, possibly it could be traced back.

For now I don't know what to do about it. It's making owning an impossible. All owners should consider removing their spoilers and cut the supply!

Thanks H47PEr but I'm not sure a Zetec S one will fit. I've got a complete replacement tailgate in performance blue from a scrappers but it needs painting front and back and a dent fixing. I did'nt notice that it had privicy glass untill I got home! The bigest problem will be the lock and the wiring loom. I won't be fitting it untill I move house with a garage!

Baillie, I don't really want to sell it but I just might have to unless I can garage it on a night or even through the day! I don't think the Police are doing enough to stop this. If it was a murder, you can bet they would find some evidence so why cant they do it for stolen property? If my bumper went then that would be the deciding factor to get shut

I didnt want to sell mine, i miss it alot but since ive sold it and bought a new car ive not been worrying about whats been happening outside at all.

I reckon there should be some kind of system that when the spoiler is removed by force 50,000 volts go through it. And a big pernament ink bomb(on a delay so not to cover the car) to make finding the scum easier.

Maybe smartwater might work but theres a subscription to pay ever year. I like the 50,000 volt idea

Really is absolutley disgraceful but sadly the way our world is these days. I dont blame you for not replacing it now - i know from my point of view if anything happens to mine again its gone, straight away. Just not worth the hassle. Very sad that it has to be like this but scumbags arent going anywhere - just seem to be breeding further.

Lets hope the thief just ends up like he would in a less tolerante country and both hands chopped off. Wouldnt do much thieving then would they?

omg really sorry for you mate =[ iv had my st a month and these stories are worrying me =[ im glad that i have a garage for at night just when i go shopping or out in general i have to be carefull =[ but im thinkin aftermarket system as im an electrician i should get it on the cheap by doin it myself =] hope you have better luck
