Good Idea, we can start with how to fit a spoiler to a zetec
IMO it would be a good idea .

Me thinks this thread will be moved to the suggestions section - EDIT - As if by magic..... - Thanks Pink

You and Pinkey have serious issues, I seem to be linking around the forum seeing edits from both of you

I wont comment on this and let everyone have their say on this suggestion!!!

I think a "How To" section would be good. I guess some of those posts should go in the Technical Issues section but that tends to get filled with "my ST is doing ... does anyone else get that?" posts.

I understand exactly what your saying Pinkey.

I guess in a very brief explination your trying to say the technical section is getting filled with posts such as "I have 28mpg"...

Posts such as how to replace a headlight bulb may be lost.

I think that would be a useful idea because if your new to the site I can understand how it might be difficult to find exactly what you want.

Chris could do the 'how to spam like a pro' section

Yeh very good idea, I would appreciate a "how to" on changing the dash fascia around the CD player to the piano black one! Actually I think searching for that, is how I found this forum in the first place.

I must just add, if this section was to be concidered then it would be VERY strick with Topic Threads due to being closely linked with the Technical Talk thread.

If a "How To" section was made it would only state exactly that and all replies or thread that were spam or not helpful would be deleted to help make it easier to read.

Totally agree Scotty, things can get a little off topic at times, which is generally ok as long as it doesn't go too far. However a "How to" section would need to be clear and easy to follow.

I think going wildly offtopic is how many threads should end there live, I feel there is only so much you can get out of one tiny discussion. Lets not forget to try and keep them ontopic as best as possible for pure ease of people reading though.

Chris that is fine m8, this forum is a very nice place to be, that is why people enjoy it so much and you are a big part in the whole development of that. I do not feel you spam anyway (too much :P)

On this forum there are serious threads and also Joke threads, this is deliberate to balance the forum out.

Before I spam more, back ontop the very good suggestion of a "how to" thread.

This might be a stupid question Scott, but could you actually create a 'how to' post which does not have the option to reply underneath? You could then possibly use the technical section to post any questions/comments about the 'how to' guides if required?

Yes I suppose that is possible. Are you suggesting that Only the thread creator can make a post and no replies can be strung onto it?

I could also make this a closed forum and if people did there "how to" posts in the technical section a moderator could move the post over and delete any un-needed replies.

Yes thats what I meant, I thought it might make it a bit clearer like a help manual if you only had the guide to read. The moderator idea sounds like a good way of doing this.
