What car cleaning products do people use. Shampoos, waxes, wheel cleaners etc?.

And what kind of results do you get from them?

I think Meguiars is the doggs.

Flash car wash system, its a pain in the arse, and you have to get it right and keep the water filter topped up but after all that it comes out amazing!

i always use autoglym expensive but very good! Those flash wash things go you have to dry car after or are they just lying like every other wash system on the market?

meguairs all the way, got 4 or 5 products from it now and i think its way better then autoglym or turtle wax

Auto Glym is class also, got a kit that cost 50 quid and its easy to use and brings the paint up spankingly nice!

Auto Glym stuff = shampoo, synthetic shammy (BRILLIANT - highly recommended), super resin polish (to get rid of some laquer bits from my repair job) and Perfect Polishing Cloths.

Halfords stuff = cellulose sponge & wheel brush

Megs stuff = NXT Tech Wax & Polish & applicator pad

Amorall stuff = car wipes (these are SO good if you've cleaned the car, gone to a meet/show and spotted bits or something that needs cleaning and dont have access to water, sponge & shammy) & dashboard wipes (mmm clean dash + minimal effort *lol*)

I dont use a wheel cleaner just the water I used to wash my car (after I'm done cleaning it! *lol*) because after my wheel refurbisher told me not to use stuff like Wonder Wheels, I finally believed the ppl that kept telling me not to, as it can damage the wheel after prolonged use.

I just use Auto Glym stuff and a halfords alloy brush, its essencial to get all the crap out from between the spokes to keep 'em nice and shiny.

just bought some shampoo yesterday. i'm very scared as i don't want the stripes to peel off or the glue underneath to be eaten away. i know this is unlikely but i am very familiar with sod's law.
