Alright so the search for a mobile is now finished and I have fancied and bought this samsung S8000 jet which so far has been an excelent partner. Unfortunately though, the gps software that it comes equipped with (route66) does not have maltese maps. Question is does any1 of you know of any gps software that I could use with my phone? the OS is one from samsung and it has/supports touchwiz v2.0

Besides Google Maps, which is a laugh on the Jet, with tiiiiiiiny typeface…

You get GPS on the Jet, that’s it.

If you want real navigation, try out AmazeGPS and if you do, install the version for the Samsung Eternity. That one works great. Only thing is that you can not use both GoogleMaps and AmazeGPS in one go. So if you used one, set the phone off and on again and use the other.

But why should you use GoogleMaps anyway…

lol harper I was like a child watching it behind the window and wanted it so bad I went back for it the next day. I love it really but it's just a final element that's missing =)

i was never happy with it because it wasnt an iphone and thats all i wanted. i love the apps and the jet didnt offer me much

basically I just wanted a better phone than the one I had. What I really wanted was WiFi and this has been great so far. The down side of it is that it does not have one of those universal OSs. It just uses samsung's TouchWiz 2.0 which basically makes it unsupportive to most application that use symbian, windows mobile, android etc.

Garmin and Sygic offer GPS software with maltese maps but unfortunately these two are not compatible with my phone =(
