Insurance costs for you guys in the UK is insane! ..
yeah the insurance in the UK is very expensive for people under 25, even with a car that has 1.1L engine. Even though the driving/theory is pretty cheap compared to the rest of Europe, we get screwed over with the insurance.
However once you hit 25, the insurance just drops like crazy as they believe that once you hit 25 you are a more responsible driver and women between 17 to 25 have cheaper insurance than men.
It's crazy, but it's always been like that. It's like for example Bex got the insurance on our car in France (fully comp) and we're paying just a little over 700e a year; however if I was to do the insurance and I'm 28 it goes over a grand.
