Hi!
Urgent problem that needs to be solved.
My Volume/On-off button on my 55 reg fiesta ST has gone faulty. You cant adjust the volume properly or turn it on or off straght away (various tapping).
I'm able to work it via the flappy paddels on the steering wheel BUT im hoping to sell very soon and want this fixed beforehand!
Anyone able to shine some light on how to fix this? I'm guessing it's just been knocked and something come apart/loose?
please help! thanks

It got knocked pretty hard (long story) so it's nothing to do with it being on its way out!
Surely it wont mean a whole new head unit? thats a joke if so!
Where can i purchase a new volume knob if need be?

o ye! were the seats reclined at the time ![](/images/graemlins/snigger.gif)
maybe you have snapped the connection and i imagine this will be hard to fix.
haha...no comment mate! - Your right by the way, took it out and part last night with my dad and there's a crack in the circuit board ![](/images/graemlins/upset.gif)
Would I be okay just buying a new '6006' head unit, with the code, and installing that? Not wanting to spend 200-300 quid on it, as I'm selling soon!
By the way, how much of a PAIN is it trying to disconnect AND connect the middle dial of the air functions...jesus christ!

Its a bit of a pain
The worst is trying to disconnect the middle one without breaking it
Then trying to line up the right hand one when you put it back together

Yea thats quite a bit easier when I did it Still a bugger to take apart the middle dial, broke mine and had to balance it carefully before ramming it all back and luckily it stayed in place ![](/images/graemlins/snigger.gif)

I'll come round and break it for you, I know there is a proper way of getting it off
