Hey everyone, I need some help pronto! I decided to paint my calipers today (Hammerite smooth red) and now I can't get the bloody springs back on!! Plleeeeeaaase help because this is starting to drive me insane. I admit I've done the daft thing and actually forgotten which way round they go too so I'm doubly annoyed with myself. Apart from this they look great and I can't wait to get the wheels back on and get a proper look at them!

Cheers dude but I think you've picked me up wrong. I've not taken the pads off just the springs. Has anyone got a close up picture of their caliper with the wheel off? A picture would help so I at least know which way round the bloomin' thing goes C'mon guys..help a damsel in distress!

Springs are fairly easy to fit, theres a knack to it.

Just an FYI to anyone thinking about taking off the springs prior to painting calipers...don't bother cos they're hard to get back on! Dunno what knack you know of Tez but I took bloody ages trying to do it and ended up needing a bit man help and then had to touch up the paint! It's all looking way better now thank god! Yay

I know what you mean Kelz... When I changed my pads I was there for about 15 mins and prised it in with a screwdriver

F***ed up my paint but I dont like the colour anymore anyway
