Ever since 3D films have come back into fashion it would seem and all films now are been made "3D" does anyone else find them just a bit of a disapointment? I mean i have been to see a couple (not more mainly due to the immense rip off at the cinema and also just watch alot of DVD's instead). But anyway, the last one i saw (resident evil last night), was ok. I mean yes couple of moments 3D bits were alright but didnt really emphasies the experience for me anymore and alot of the times i would just have preferred to not wear glasses and even have this "amazing 3D experience".

Just think its a bit of a "craze" - i am the same with 3D TV's at home - just doesnt do it for me at all - would rather watch something in HD. Yet all my mates disagree with me. Am i the only one?!

I was very impressed by Avatar but then it was the first 3D film I'd seen. I also saw How to Train a Dragon (you don't mind watching them when a nice girl asks you to go ) and it was ok but I wasn't really that concious of the 3D-ness. I don't think I've seen any others, or if I have they obviously weren't that impressive but I think they need to resist doing everything in 3D cos it only suits some kind of films.

I suspect the better ones will be out next year when the tech has been perfected a bit more.

I also can't see me sitting at home with 3D glasses on watching Dragons Den or the Snooker I don't feel like I'm missing anything with it in 2D. I did have a go on a 3D footy demo in the Sony store and it was ok but I wasn't blown away by it. And certainly not enough to spend 2k on a TV.

It will take a while for them to perfect it, obviously they will go through the phase of everything in every shot has to be 3d
But once in flows better should be good, was sat in the cinema thinking the screen needs to be massively bigger and wrap around to make you think your really there

I was reading through the facts and figures about 3D with raised eye brows a few months ago and thought it was all complete Bollocks! Since then I have seen a couple of films at the cinema in 3D and have to say I was impressed......but nothing had me prepared for 3D TV that I experienced about 2 weeks ago. Truly STUNNING! I have a deposit down on the new Samsung 3D 46" LED TV. The picture is HD quality even when using the 3D glasses. It is superb and actually does what it says on the tin! It brings films to life and the football.....Well thats a whole new ball game! Excuse the pun lol I can't wait to have it installed and the TV itself is as thin as a DVD case!

Completely agree with this, i think i would have felt more immersed had i not been able to see out the side of my glasses.

I think for certain films 3-D does enchance the viewing. I've only seen Alice in Wonderland, Avatar, Toy Story 3 and UP! in 3-D. I wouldn't pay for it unnecessarily.

UP was an epic fail!

Alice in wonderland was good,
Can't believe avatar got beaten by hurt locker, watched it the other night and its worth a watch but not an amazing film

I saw Alice in Wonderland and thought it was ok, not out of this world though.

I watched the Blackpool vs Cardiff play off final in 3D and was undecided about whether I liked it or not. It almost went beyond how 'real life' looks, especially on close up shots of the crowd. Thought the normal match camera view was good though.
