Light Dash Symbol Trouble

Hi, i have a zetec s 2007, im having trouble with my lights! When my sidelights are on, the sidelight symbol is on (green) on the dash, but i switch to dipped lights the sidelight symbol stays on and the dipped symbol doesnt appear? worked yesterday but doesnt now, checked the lights there functioning ok. Any help

It doesn't change when you put sidelights or dipped on, only when you put full headlights on
Which would be correct operation?

Basically i get the sidelights symbol when the lights are switched on (green), then usually on dipped i get the green symbol for main beam, then blue for full beams. but recently it always stay on the sidelight symbol even though the dipped's are on.

Mine only had the green which did both sides and dipped
Guess it was an update?

Here we go i found a picture, mine stays on the first one for both side and dipped then when i click full beams, the blue icon appears on the dash?? is that right?

yes position 1 my sidelights are on.
position 2 my dipped beams are on (but still showing up as sidelights on the dash)
and main beam is activated by the stalk (which turns of the blue symbol on the dash)

im confused...
are your dipped lights still working? or have they stopped?
a light on the dash to say they are on doesn't work the led bulb must have blown, but you can see if your lights are working as its dark when you use them so i wouldn't worry too much about it as it will mean taking the dash apart!
