When first joining, you go straight to the noob section and cannot post anywhere else until you've posted 2 posts in the noob section

Good idea, i like that

Would keep it tidier, and stop us all telling em all to go there

You've all got to remember this forum board is about 6-7 years old now and the functionality just isn't there. It would be pretty difficult to enforce this with my limited admin functions.

I'll be having a much closer look at these things in the New Year so don't worry. For now, n00bs will be popping up like moles all over the place.

I did create a whole new forum 2 years ago as some of the older guys would have heard about. We did demo it for a 2 week period but we scrapped it as it didn't meet the needs originally set out.

Briefly:

The page must be very easy to view
The site must be extra easy to navigate
Not needing stupid amounts of screen scrolling.
Creating posts easy and quick
NO Adverts or stupid side bar options clogging the screen up.

Still... even now... the site works brilliant and looks great. I'm looking to expand sideways off this... exciting stuff to come... it will take a little while though... but it will be worth it *top secret atm*

P.S I always take suggestions on board... and suggestions are more then welcome now as I can use the ideas for the plans to come in 2011.

An image gallery that we can upload the best pictures to and browse at will. Just a thought.

Image galleries eat bandwidth like crazy.

If you ever want to switch to a phpBB based board I can help. I think your main concern with such old software would be security updates, or lack thereof.
