Hi, im new here obviously..

I've had my fiesta flame for 6 days now, and i was just wondering if some of you would be able to give me some advice.. as im new to driving and only had my license four months.

Well first of all i would like any advice possible on bedding in my engine, because to be honest the ford hand book aint very specific.. ?

Secondly i was wondering if any of you had any tips for getting rid of a plastic mark down the one side from some wing mirror?

Thanks in advance...

Welcome

from what i can rember when i bought a new fiesta a few years ago i think i was recomended to keep it below 4500rpm and to not stress the engine (ie put it in 5th and try to accelerate up a hill from 20mph) for the first 1000 miles. As for the the mark so long as its just a skuff and hasn't scratched the paint just some normal car polish should buff it out.

T-cut might be a bit too abrasive and i think you have to be careful what finish of paint you use it on if its metallic or not as there are different types. If its getting better with the polish i would carry on with that.

Welcome to the Forums m8,

Sounds like ur problem isn't 2 bad... maybe post a few pictures up and then we will have a more accurate view on the situation.

As mepal47 suggested keep the RPM (Revs) down below the 4,500 mark for the first 1000mile... the car really doesn't losen up until the 5,000miles mark when everything starts to ware in and then u can have some fun as we all do. U havn't had ur licence long i noticed so just get to know the car slowly and dont do anything stupid like think ur schumacher and total it like someone i know did...

Good Luck with driving and hope u enjoy every second of it, i know i do!!!

Iv been driving 2 years in Febuary in my 1.8 3 door focus and know how tempting it is...

Thanks for the response, i've t-cutted the scratch now and its almost gone. i'll prolly t-cut it again wen i clean it next. u cant really see the scratch unless your looking for it, but u kno.. its kinda annoyin considering i've had the car less than two weeks and its my first car.. i'll get a pic anyway just to see what you guys think.

um, where can i find info on fiesta cruises and stuff like that? and other usual stuff for my fiesta.

Thanks lads...

If ur a "BoyRacer" the local cruise sites are (that im a member of unfortunatley)

Cruisemidlands.com - Mostly Paxos and No'goes
Kroozmidz.com - Full of idiots in Renault 5 Knackers + Scoobies
KeepCruising.net - General Taste and Fiestas.

They are all midlands based

There is a Warwickshire meet for the FFOC (Ford Focus Owners Club) That me and David Chief are apart of if u want to pop along... ur fezzie will fit in gr8 afterall its a Ford!!!
