Looking at amps, found alpine do a mono amp for about £125 What other makes should I consider, the pioneer is about £50 more
What about JBL and kicker?
Found one by onyx for £50, is that going to be good enough for a flat sub?

Always get a good quality brand with the amp and make sure the RMS input matches what the sub requires (or as close as possible), don't bother with budget brands, it isn't a true RMS Don't forget to 'run the sub in' - i.e. don't blast the crap out of it straight away! You have to work it in - don't put the gain up too much on the amp either, start low and build it up, the sub and the coils need to 'loosen up' Well worth it though

Stop willy waving Dan, its not how big it is but what you can do with it that counts, or in this situation how good it sounds
