Just got off the blower to my local Ford garage - £108 for a spoiler and £160 on top just to spray and fit the ba$tard!!!

Anyone tell me how much it will cost to spray & fit it myself and how hard the job is??

Fitting yourself no problem...

spraying, unless you've done it plenty of times before, I wouldn't bother and pay for a pro to do it.

Two options, wait until you have bought more parts which require spraying because it will cost you a forutune to have just the spolier sprayed and may be a little cheaper if you had more things to be sprayed.

Second option, depending on what spolier you're after try http://www.fms-ford-spares.co.uk or http://www.fordpartsuk.com and see if you can pick up a second hand one which will be cheaper and already sprayed.

I'll tell you why I always go on about second hand: follwo this link on the ford desktops (third row of pictures):
http://www.forddesktops.com/view.asp?action=fiesta&page=10

The pictures which say 'Ford Fiesta Zetec-S Modified' is my car, every part on it is from another car, the bumpers are from FMS and wheels, mirrors, suspension etc from other Zetec-S owners, the only thing that's new is the exhaust... even the induction kit is second hand lol!!

I saved easily £1000+ in total and its all excellent condition parts I've put on.

Mate, I'm with you all the way on the second hand front. I still can't believe the price for a strip of plastic!!! A rear spoiler for a fizz bomb is worth about £60 max in my book. A mate of mine has resprayed a couple of cars before so I may ask him to give me a hand on the paint job. I'm havin a look on e-bay at the minute, seeing what i can dig out on there...

Thanks again Jim, good man.

....Oh and, nice reg son! How much that baby set you back?... I've been having a look for "STE" plates, but the cheapest is around £500...
