For anyone that has installed HIDs from Hids4u...

It says to remove the protective plastic cap and rubber ring
I assume what I already took off is the cap but when i remove the rubber ring the bulb seems loose and wobbly.
Also there is a different metal frame part that was delivered with the kit. do i need to install this or do I take the whole frame thing off and just leave the bare bulb?

Any help greatly appreciated

My HIDS are out at the moment because of the MOT soon, so i took a quick pic for you.

Seems like you just need to put the silver cap back on?

Well that is how i took mine out yesterday, and i had them professionally installed last year.

They're not from HIDS4U but the bulb seems to be exactly the same

the bulb does look exactly the same. I totally wouldnt have expected the cap to be left on. Especially since there is an alternative part to fit around the bulb.
Anyway I've sent a mail to Hids4u asking what I should do. Hopefully they will get back pretty quick and I can fit them soon

If I didnt read the manual I probably would have just put them straight in, but now I've read it I'm not sure what to do.
I should have just stuck to my policy of not reading manuals...

Well I've fitted the HIDs with the cap on. Will wait until its a bit darker to see how they look. Will take pics then.

The only thing bothering me is that the LED sidelights I got aren't working.
http://www.hids4u.co.uk/LED-sidelight-bulb-w5w-501-led-extreme-power-1.5w-360-degree.html
I thought they should just be plug and play but they dont work. Anyone got any ideas?

they will only work one way round, try pulling them out and turning them round then they should work fine

that was it Dan Silly Me. I thought about it but I assumed they would work both ways and its a 25% chance that I got the both the wrong way round so i just went with "they're ok its something else"

Will take Pics later
