Numero uno...

Where can I buy subframes for the Recaro CS (if not buying from Mountune) and possibly how much do they cost

Numero...er...two-o

Does anybody know how roughly much weight I could save by swapping from standard seats to the Recaros, and also from standard alloys to TD Pro Race 1.2???

Many thanks

Jim

Is that really correct

somebody wack out the bathroom scales!!!! i dnt think they are as heavy as 19, id say more about 11. you are likely to save 3 or 4 kg per wheel with TD 1.2 alloys i reckon.

so basically if you have a fat passenger your efforts in light weight alloys and seats are wasted lol!!!!

Actually, thinking about it, I distinctly remember there was a magazine that did a test with a Fiesta ST, replacing the stock wheels with pro race 1.2's and putting it round a circuit...anyone remember what that magazine was? I'm sure I have it about but I have a LOT of mags to look through!

Any assistance on the sub frames?

I haven't really looked into the subframes When I emailed a company about the seats they said they can supply them so I was just going to get them then. Are you still interested in getting the seats with the group buy?
As for the wheels, they impair acceleration slightly but noticeably improve breaking and handling

Mountune claim 2kg per wheel with their tyre/pro race wheel combo. The Ford alloys are very heavy that is for sure.
