Hi, hope somebody can help.....

I have just bought an 07 fiesta zetec climate which was advertised having Bluetooth stereo, the stereo in the car is a 6000cd which has a phone button on it. When you press this button it just mutes the sound. At the top of the driver side pillar there seems to be a mic does anybody know how to get this going??

Not too sure on this, but the other day in my mates car we were working stuff out, if you have a steering stalk press the mode button I think and you should hear a voice. Alternatively the bluetooth is in one of the menus. Hope this helps fella

I now have some more info...

The car has a mic in as first thought and also a nokia rx-c1 Bluetooth module thing behind the glovebox, the stero just doesn't have a Bluetooth option it's a 6000cd. I went to my local ford garage but they didn't have a clue.

Have you tried 'pairing' your Mobile phone up with your car via Bluetooth on your mobile.

IIRC, (don't quote me on this), but i think that the bluetooth is simply an extension of your personal mobile phone, so when you go into bluetooth settings on your mobile, sitting in the car, and press 'search devices' the sterio make should come up.
On sellecting this, once your mobile phone rings you press the phone button on the car sterio which mutes the radio and the car speakers link up to your mobile, the small mic kicks in and you talk, hands free.

There is more to this, so try it, and if this works i'll give you some more info.

As i say, i may be miles off, but worth a go.

welcome along pity it's a bluetooth stereo but needs programming. See if you can get this done through warranty? or even if now it should be fair if ford did it for you it it's something supposed to have been there in the first place

I have a 1.25 Zetec Blue and not all phones are compatable with the system. When trying to "pair" car to phone, some won't be able to recognise. My previous Nokia did but my current HTC does not. A PITA to be honest.

yay! high-five for the 1.25 zetec blue!
All of my phones have paired with the stereo, including my HTC HD2, bit weird that yours doesn't.
