I have been in touch with Datatag to see if they have specific kits for cars, they have many different ones for other types of vehicles & commercial Plant etc but didn't appear to be one for our everday cars, I am aware of datatag from my cycling as it is a police recommended product for cycles.
Since many of our removable parts seem to go walk about and appear on EBay next day, I was looking into something to mark our parts but nice and subtle and a warning sticker that had a bit more "clout".
I have now been informed by Datatag there is indeed a specific car kit, this contains several marking systems and registration thereof, it is much much more than just a bit of UV pen marking and fully recognised by the Police, also now Thatcham Approved and has to be proffesionally installed by a trained fitter near you, at around £170.
If you haven't done any markings or just bought an ST probably a reasonable price in the long run, might help saleability and insurance quotes too.

My car is already security marked with several aftermarket systems so please note I have no connection with datatag other than I would spread the word that a kit is available.

You'll not only find it brings insurance down but also puts it up, due to the fact that the insurance company thinks your going to leave your car in dodgy places, this is what they explained to me about my tracker

To me these datatags are a waste of time, as you still need to find the part to read the tag
