Hi Tommy, I fitted on of these yesterday if I remember correctly there a plug on the right hand side (nearest the drivers side) approx 40mmx40mm removed by lifting up a tiny handle.I think there are only 2 leads there any way ,this lead and an ariel connection.
Mines a 56 plate and I lifted up the trim surrounding the gear lever just to check the lead wasn't in place,but when I removed the radio after getting one of the keys stuck and spending an hour to get it out ,luckily without damaging any trim.To my suprise the lead that should have gone into the quad block was already there.When I traced the lead I found it was in the correct place but taped up with insulation tape.
Im not sure if theres room for you to remove the quad block without taking the radio out its pretty crowded back there drivers side any way,more room if you remove the glove box.
What I've learned is double check the leads not in place .
Removing the radio is a pain.
If they installed the wiring in the factory why couldn.t they just fit the plug it only costs about £3.
When you make the hole 20mm its marked on the trim inside take your time theres no margin for error .

Because Ive got a spare lead I bought another plug /input socket I thought I'd fit it in my works transit a 57 reg.( radio 6000 cd) but when I removed the top dash locker there was a lead there aswell.

So if any one wants a lead if they haven't got one (but double check) I've got one here foc, you just need to buy the aux plug apprx £3 from ford.
