Along with the front chrome Spot surrounds the chrome rear fog and reverse light surrounds have gone along with the chrome ST badge on the side which i really liked.

I think it's because they are offering silver as a color, and those chrome bits would look naff against silver.

Also, they are cutting costs.

There really is an infinite number of reasons why they could've been removed and I could tell you of some comical reasons for components being changed/compromised.

If I ever change companies I might tell the stories.

I actually prefer it without them. Cleaner front graphic.

I agree with David, to me with the chrome surround, it looks like a Ghia version or somit, instead with it around the fog light, it looks more sporty.

Shame about the side repeater badge though.

They did as as there were alot of complaints
from the people that went the nec in may sayin
that the back end was boring so they changed
it and it looks alot better
