Just wondering guys, does anybody know off hand if the ST will come with an Auto Dip Rear View Mirror, or will it be an option or even N/A! If N/A, are these units hard to fit or require any specific mods! I know it's probably to early to tell still, but I always like planning a head!

lol not seen a question like this before

to be honest I dont know and I dont think its been mentioned anywhere, or even if its available on the Fiesta.

If its possible on any other Ford models then I'm sure you could buy one from the parts dept and fix it on.

My Mondeo had one. Not sure if it could be fitted to the Festa tho.

I can say 99.9% it won't be fitted nor will it be an option. The cost is too high and there would be too little demand for it in the B car sector.

This is a shame as it was one of the main reasons (I kid you not!) that I bought my Mondeo. Ever since I had an X-type jag with one fitted I have wanted one, and I am loving it!

It can be fitted aftermarket as it is self contained, however routing the power supply would be a nightmare as it will mean removing the roof lining, A-panel trim and parts of the dash. The unit is bound to cost a couple of hundred pounds though.

The only negative I can offer is that the Mondeo I had out of the pool a few months back had one of these and it wobbled around like a good un...

When I reported it, they said they were aware of it but weren't gonna replace it as it happens with some regularity and they cost an absolute fortune...

If it had been my car then perhaps - but as I said it was out of the pool...

Damned good idea, but when it wobbles, it's a pain in the arse!

Wouldn't you be able to not just feed it into the courtesy light power, therefore minimising the amount of uplift of the head lining! Just an idea though, maybe I can source one from salvage or sumin, just thought it would be a nice feature to add to my ST!

You could perhaps add it to the courtesy light circuit, I can't believe it uses much current. You might also be able to get one from salvage, let us know how you get on if you do look for one.
