Evening all.

I have a question. Probably a stupid one but a question none the less!

When you've had your headlights on (at night for example), is it normal afterwards for the actual headlamp unit to be warm?

I never noticed when I had the , but then I wasn't really paranoid like I am now with the Focus!

does your focus have xenons?

it might be the projectors that get hot!

They're projector lights yeah, but only xenon effect halogen bulbs.

Don't want them setting on fire!

My biggest concern is if the headlamp unit starts to melt. I REALLY don't want that to happen!

They are 12V, 55W, 5000K and are UV protected so suitable for plastic lenses.

They should be ok shouldn't they? I mean, I don't mind them being warm as long as there's no damage.

Some valve had put 100w bulbs in mine when I bought it and about a week later it exploded all over the interior of the light. Totally impossible to get out and the filament had literally dusted the entire interior. Looked a total pig. Had to get a new light in the end so just be wary pal. Should be ok down at 55w though.

Sorry about that pal. Some idiots about.

I've been out for a few trial runs since I fitted them (two of them long ones) and I think I was just paranoid. They're slightly warmer than the originals but nothing that would make you think "bloody hell that's warm!". Plus you actually have to put your hand on the headlamp unit to notice the heat.

AND they look like factory fit xenons!
