Oh no. Thats looks nasty, and it must be especially frustrating given that it wasn't your fault either.

Any idea yet on how long it will be before you get it sorted out?

Sorry to hear that Dave, I know it's no consolation but it's only a bumper

I think your car would like to be washed to make her feel better

At least its not costing you anything then. Make sure they put the new bumper in properly flush though. I can't find the post at the minute but I seem to remember someone a little while back that needed their bumper replaced and found that there was a gap between it and the rest of the body when it came back.

That's awful Dave Sorry to see that happened to your car but as ppl say, at least it was "only" a bumper.

Oooohhhh yes! Thats why you ended up Super Grass!!

Yes my rear bumper actually has a broken clip but its "on" (I didnt ask & its still there so its all good! *lol*). Due to that rear corner getting dented the way it did & the bumper clip being broken, there is a weeeeny teeeny tiny gap between the bumper & the body work (v. v. v. small) so I dont think Dave will be affected the way I was (hopefully not anyway!).

Btw dave ... what IS an R driver??

**edit** found it ... http://www.fordfiestast.co.uk/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=15670&an=0&page=5#15670

Yes but the fact that they didn't stop in time shows the restriction is pointless

Dave, does the restriction also mean you can't drive on the motorway?

Had similar experience myself last week. Had a Fiat Brava hit me from the back while I was stationary at a roundabout.

My damage was worse cracked bumper and slightly distorted hatch.

Had it in for repair the next day and got it back tuesday this week.

I went through the my own insurance but, they would reclaim it from the other persons insurance, had a bit of whiplash as well.

Car repairs look okay.

Hope your car is fixed okay soon..................

Sorry to hear that Jon. At least your car got fixed quickly, but make sure you get you whiplash injury sorted properly.

Welcome to the forum, btw.
When/if you get a chance post some pics of your car in the forecourt.

Mate ,has it been assesed by anyone to see if there is any other damage?

Make sure the back panel is not damaged behind the bumper.

Its best to tell the person to sod off and go through the insurance that way you know it should be all inspected properly.

Taking car back to repairer on MONDAY.

As I have noticed poor paintwork in the boot etc, overspray on the boot carpet and sides.

Also the paintwork on the tailgate and bumper seem a shade lighter, compared to the rest of the car.......................

Poor old car

ST is not comming back today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Failed paint inspection at JUST CAR CLINIC DONCASTER.

Micro blistering on paintwork on the tailgate? (have been told that there must have been a greasy finger print on the panel before painting, causing small blisters to for under the paint a few days later?

COMPLETLY FED UP..........................Been told it will go back in the paint shop today?.......................

Ready for sometime between Christmas and the New Year.................

WHAT ELSE CAN GO WRONG.......................................

Got ST back 30th December (Last Friday)

Looked at it thoroughly yesterday, and found to my HORROR that there is a bad masking line around the window, rear spoiler ill fitting and the rear interior trim has still not been replaced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So guess what it's going back in this FRIDAY. Have told my insurance company about this matter................

Workshop Manager has been extremley apologetic....................

Also one of my wheel centres fell off on the way home from the repair centre last friday.................

Went to RINGWAYS in Doncaster (my FORD dealer) a chap came out and had a look and pulled of a wheel centre with his finger, and said they where not well fitting and ordered me another TWO.

CHECK YOUR CAPS WHEN THE WEATHER IS COLD, AS THE PLASTIC SEAMS TO SHRINK...........................

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE......................................

OMFG!!! You'r really not having much joy with these muppets

Take 1 useless repair centre, add 1 large molotov cocktail, leave to roast for 2 hours. There you have a good recipe for payback

You're having no luck at all in getting it sorted.

All you can do at the moment is hope that finally they get things right this time.

Its BACK....................

Should have been ready MONDAY.

But due to them not being able to fit the rear window until tuesday, then they chipped the paint on the rear spoiler, it was only ready late yesterday.......................

They have re glazed the whole car (was Autoglym Lifeshined, from NEW)

Looks as good as NEW, worried ABOUT INSPECTING TO CLOSELY.......................
